Lower-Cost Options & Sliding Scale Fees
We understand that therapy is an investment. For families without insurance, we offer limited sliding scale options based on individual circumstances and income.
Additionally, as a Teaching Clinic in partnership with the University of Toronto, we offer therapy with MSW Students at a lower rate. These students are Registered Social Workers who have completed a Bachelor of Social Work and gained experience before beginning their Practicum with us.
Payment Options & Billing Information
At Attuned Families, we accept e-transfers and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Preferred Method: We encourage e-transfer payments to be sent immediately after your session to avoid having your credit card charged.
Secure Billing: Upon booking your first session, you’ll receive a consent form via email to submit your billing information, which is stored securely.
Processing Time: Payments are processed through our Jane Management System within 24 hours after each session. For weekend sessions, payments are processed on Monday.
Invoices: You will receive an emailed invoice after each session, which you can submit for insurance reimbursement.
Insurance & Reimbursement
Insurance coverage for therapy services varies based on your employer, provider, and plan. Many extended benefits plans cover services provided by:
✔ Registered Social Work (RSW)
✔ Registered Psychotherapy (RP)
✔ Occupational Therapy (Licensed OT)
✔ Child and Youth Worker (CYW)
✔ Psychological Assessments
To better understand your coverage, it’s helpful to review your benefits plan and check details such as maximum annual coverage, per-session limits, and eligible professional designations.
Billing & Reimbursement
We do not currently offer direct billing. However, most large insurance companies reimburse therapy services provided by our clinicians. After each session, you will receive an invoice, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
OAP Funding & Jordan’s Principle
Families with Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding can submit invoices for reimbursement. We encourage families to stay informed about any updates to OAP funding policies.
As an approved vendor for Jordan’s Principle, we provide direct billing for eligible services. For more details on accessing coverage through Jordan’s Principle, please contact us at 416-766-3000.
Cancellation policy
Your appointment is reserved just for you. We kindly request 48 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations are subject to full session fees.
